Sharing a shelter with one door means one of you climbs over the other every time the other needs to get out, and it means one vestibule for two people's wet bags. A second door fixes both and is usually sold as a weight penalty you should accept without knowing its size. This ranks the shelters that have one so the penalty is visible. 5 shelters here do not publish a door count and are not listed.

We don't field-test shelters. Weights, dimensions and capacities are the manufacturer's published specs, and where a maker doesn't publish a number we leave it out rather than estimate it — with one stated exception: a pole length marked from packed size is the packed bag's long dimension standing in for a figure the maker never published. On a conventional single-sack tent those are the same measurement.
