Shortest packed poles
Which shelters fold down short enough to sit across drop bars?
How this is ranked
Published folded pole length, shortest first.
Drop bars measure 400–460mm across the hoods, but the usable span once you account for cables, hoods and a harness is a good deal less. Anything over 380mm is not going between drop bars whatever it weighs. Only 14 of the 43 shelters we track publish this figure at all.
Every figure is the manufacturer's published spec — we don't field-test shelters, and where a maker doesn't publish a number we leave it out rather than estimate it. Of 43 shelters we track, 14 publish a folded pole length.
